The traffic data provided by many governments (above, the LA metro and London traffic cams) would allow someone to see the pulse of the city - its traffic and public transit. Google Maps currently offers a view where users can see the relative severity of traffic color coded to red, yellow and green. However, it could be useful to apply that data and see it in person - live traffic cams would provide a more accurate picture and even crowd source accident locations. Having the busses hooked up to a real time API also helps the user get to wherever they need to go faster - by providing a way for them to check on the progress of their desired route.
